Markus Stumptner: "Well, it has Champaubert in the name, but because it's not really a Napoleonic combat system, I don't really see it as a game about the historical battle of Champaubert, no matter how good the OOB is and how many historical side notes it has. It's a game about how some 1970s wargame designers thought these battles went. Bloodless pushing, double stacking every second hex across the map, odds optimization and soak-off attacks, you know... all these core elements of "Napoleonic" tactics that strangely never get mentioned in the histories."
